Understand the possibility of losing 100% of your deposited funds.
Your capital is at risk. You may lose 100% of the funds you deposit. A crypto vault is not a savings account. Stablecoin denomination does not make a deposit safe. Returns and recovery of deposited funds are not guaranteed.
What can cause losses?
- Smart contracts and security: bugs, exploits, compromised keys or failures in the vault, tokens or connected protocols can cause partial or total loss. Audits cannot guarantee safety.
- Stablecoins: USDC and other stablecoins can lose their peg. Issuers may freeze tokens or restrict transfers or redemption.
- Underlying protocols and markets: strategies depend on other DeFi protocols. Their failures, liquidity shortages and adverse market conditions can reduce or eliminate the value of vault assets. Diversification does not remove these risks.
- Operator, custody and administration: portfolio management, valuation, settlement and privileged controls depend on authorized parties and custody arrangements. Errors, compromised accounts or misuse of permissions can cause losses or prevent access to funds.
- Liquidity and withdrawals: redemptions require operator settlement and a separate investor claim. Liquidity shortages, pauses, network outages or operational failures can delay withdrawals or make them unavailable. There is no guaranteed withdrawal time.
Understand the information shown
Yields can change and fees reduce returns. Past performance does not predict future results. Published portfolio valuations are estimates; on-chain NAV and chart points are snapshots, not guarantees of amounts you can withdraw. Missing history does not mean the value stayed unchanged.
Before depositing
Read the strategy, current fees and settlement process in the app. Deposit only funds whose complete loss you can afford. Wallet approvals and blockchain transactions carry additional risks; verify the network, contract and amounts before confirming.
